Before settling in Portland seven years ago, I bounced all over the west from my homeland in Utah to the Idaho panhandle to Phoenix to the Bay. My home is shared with my excitable rescue Plott Hound puppy, Tallulah, who loves to chase her own tail. I have always been drawn to creative arts that would allow me the freedom of self-expression; in addition to drawing animals as a child, I read whatever books I could get my hands on, attended gymnastics and ballroom dance classes, participated in choir and theater, and had a brief stint with the violin that we both agreed was best settled in separation. I also immerse myself in baking, and love experimenting in the kitchen with flavors, textures, and colors. My wardrobe consists almost entirely of floral dresses, and I have more unicorn artwork in my house than may be reasonable for someone in their thirties. I feel happiest when I am near the ocean and mist from the sea rolls in across the shoreline as the sun disappears from sight, and I'm one of those annoying people who bring books to bars to read with just the company of a cocktail.
